Description

Springfield doctors are featured in this composite from 1903. Of note are Frederick E. Hopkins, MD, who was an ear, nose, and throat surgeon, and Dr. Ralph H. Seelye (1865–1955), who attended Amherst College (where his uncle was president) before training at the Massachusetts General Hospital. His father, L. Clarke Seelye, was the first president of Smith College and married to Henrietta Chapin Seelye.
