Description
This view of the Chapin Memorial Building was taken from about where the Springfield Building lobby exists today. The enclosed porch was removed when this freestanding structure was incorporated into the Springfield Building in 1931. Note the large operating room windows on the fourth floor. In typical fashion, these windows faced north to capture light without overheating the room.
